Every Donation Helps An Animal In Need
My name is Tabatha and I’m 12 years old. I’m trying to help raise money for Protectors of Animals. I have raised over $1500, allowing me to give POA $1000 and Our Companions $500. This money helped many needy animals. I'm trying to raise as much money as possible to help as many animals as possible. What I have been doing is making homemade dog cookies and selling them for $2.00 a bag. Each bag holds 3 peanut butter dog biscuits. I make these in my kitchen with the help of my parents. The cookies are made with Peanut Butter, Flour, Baking Powder and Milk. I got the idea from watching a show on television. There was a girl that was doing a fund raiser for kids with cancer. I thought I would love to do something like that only for animals. My mom told me that when she was in college she made dog cookies to raise money for a club she was in. I asked her if we could make dog cookies and sell them to raise money. All the money I raise goes to helping the animals. You can now pick up my cookies or cat toys directly from Protectors of Animal's adoption center in East Hartford. POA is getting new cookies and cat toys this weekend.
We now have some new toy styles, the top 8 are the new ones and the bottom 4 are ones we have had. |
I would like to thank our friends at Best Friends pet care of Rocky Hill who did a blogspot about us.
I know the site has not been updated in a long time and for that I appoligise. This year has been a rough year and until now I have not had time to do my cookies and cat toys. I'm hoping to donate at least $300 by January and another $1500 for the Year of 2012.
NEWS: I'll be at St. Matthews Church December 3rd selling my cookies and cat toys. This weekend we went to Joann's and picked out some great new patterns, my mom, dad and I are going to be very busy this week making cookies and toys but it's all worth it. |
